It’s all been happening at Carinity Education Shalom – in and out of the classroom!
Our Prep and Year 1-2 students danced and spent time with the residents of Pinangba Elders Village for National Sorry Day, to mark the beginning of National Reconciliation Week.
Primary students proudly wore blue for Do It For Dolly Day, standing together against bullying while promoting kindness, inclusion and support for one another. It was wonderful to see our students coming together for such an important cause.
Art classes saw young Shalom students explore a variety of different artistic techniques to create mystical scenes and objects. Based on the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, the students created a design using shape, space and line as key art elements.
At Shalom, learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom. Senior students enjoyed the thrill of navigating the high ropes course at YWAM in Townsville, participating in adventure-based learning and team building.
Year 1-2 class had fun making ‘slime’ as they finished off their science assessment. The students love how lessons are engaging and often involve hands-on learning and being outside.
