Why Choose Carinity Education?

Carinity Education Rockhampton has Wellbeing at the forefront in supporting our students.  The team consists of dedicated Youth Workers who are focused in building genuine relationships with all students and their families to engage them positively in our schooling program.

We truly understand that all young persons need to feel connected through trusting relationships so they can be ready to move forward and learn at their own pace.   All Youth Workers are trained in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention which promotes a calm and consistent environment and allows our young people’s voices to be heard.

We case-manage all students individually through the Outcomes Star Program.  The Star enables us to measure and summarise progress made in various areas which include – ‘making a difference’, ‘hopes and dreams’, ‘well-being’, ‘education and work’, ‘communicating’ and ‘choices and behaviour’.  We use the Outcomes Star as a coaching tool which assists young people to make changes.  We provide them with a clear picture of their journey to success whilst enabling them to take manageable steps and plot their progress along the way.

We are so proud of the wellbeing and care support we deliver.

“I like my experience at Carinity because I’ve become more confident in myself. I’m honoured to be a student here because this school is different to mainstream school. It’s smaller and I get less anxiety. Most teachers and youth workers have really helped me to deal with my problems. My mainstream class had 30 students in it and my class now only has 18 and we get a fulltime youth worker. We go on cool outings as well.”
