World Teachers’ Day on October 25 is an opportunity to recognise and applaud educators for their important role in our communities and for the positive impact they have on the lives of students.
The commitment of more than 220 staff who support young people in five Carinity Education schools – including teachers, youth workers, chaplains and support staff – will be recognised on World Teachers’ Day.
They include Toni Horman, who has taught at Carinity Education Glendyne for three years.
“This year, her impact with the Year 9 and 10 groups has been nothing short of amazing,” school principal Dale Hansen said.
“Thanks to her dedication, these students have flourished, with some even securing part-time jobs.
“The bond Toni has built with her students is so strong and meaningful that they lovingly call her ‘Mum’.”
Carinity CEO, Kevin Griffiths, said the theme of this year’s World Teachers’ Day – ‘Teachers make a difference’ – resonates deeply with Carinity’s mission.
“Every day, through dedication and care, our teachers make a significant impact on the lives of our students,” Kevin said.
“Our teachers’ influence extends beyond the classroom, touching the hearts of young people and guiding them towards a future filled with hope, and opportunity.”
