Curriculum

Middle School

When new students enter the Junior school from rears 6-9 at Carinity Education Glendyne, we work together to identify an individualised pathway to achieve a Queensland Certificate of Education. Our curriculum centres on project- based learning with a focus on well-being and literacy and numeracy.

All students in these year levels study topics from these subjects drawn from the Australian Curriculum:

  • English;
  • Mathematics;
  • Science;
  • History;
  • Geography;
  • Health and Physical Education;
  • Visual Art; and
  • Service Education

Years 7 and 9 have the opportunity to take the NAPLAN test.

Senior School

All students in the Senior School study core subjects in line with the Queensland Curriculum & Assessment Authority (QCAA), plus a range of elective Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Study Area Specific (SAS) subjects. Click here to view more information on VET courses offered in 2020.
