Years 7-10

When new students enter years 7-10 at Carinity Education Gladstone, we work together to identify an individualised pathway to achieve a Queensland Certificate of Education. Our curriculum centres on project- based learning with a focus on well-being, literacy and numeracy.

All students in these year levels study topics from subjects drawn from the Australian Curriculum including:

  • Literacy;
  • Numeracy;
  • History;
  • Geography;
  • Science;
  • Personal Development

They can also select from electives including:

  • Art
  • Cooking
  • Sewing
  • Outdoor Health and Fitness
  • Woodwork
  • IT
  • Gym
  • Basketball
  • Music
  • Drumbeat
  • Girls Group
  • Robotics

Years 7 and 9 have the opportunity to take the NAPLAN test.

Years 11-12

All students in the Senior School study core subjects in line with the Queensland Curriculum & Assessment Authority (QCAA), plus a range of elective Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Study Area Specific (SAS) subjects.
